Similar to: Chun Li(SF), Cammy(SF), Fei-Long(SF)

Strengths: Blair has some of the fastest normals in the game where all of them are relatively safe on block. Her standing and crouching medium kicks are excellent pokes that can be hit confirmed into a special or super. She also has one of the best walk speeds in the game. Her forward medium punch command normal is very fast and safe on crouch block that can also cancel into her super. She has a meterless juggle option in her Shoot Kick and it has immense corner carry.

Weaknesses: All of her specials are unsafe on block. Her Shoot Kick can be interrupted when blocked however this can be remedied if the player thinks that the opponent is going to interrupt by using a super. She can have a hard time getting in against zoners and those that have far range specials. Her reversal can be baited quite easily with a jump as it moves her quite far forward.

Play if: + You like easier juggle combos
               + You like hit confirming
               + You like footsies

Avoid if: - You don't like dealing with screen control
                 - You don't like having a way to force your way in
                 - Strong women make you nervous

Recommended Gougi Decks: Aggro, Stealth Raptor, Shinobi, Double Face, Babel, Thunderbolt, Sky Dancer

                                    Key Normals


Crouch Heavy Punch: Go to solid anti air and can easily combo into Lightning Knee or Sliding Arrow for extra damage and Spin Side Shoot

Tegatana: A forward moving command normal that gives advantage on crouch
block and is safe on stand block. This move allows for Blair to have some obnoxious
pressure, as trying to avoid crouch blocking it leaves them vulnerable to lows that she can use to confirm into her Shoot Kick juggles. It moves her forward as well, so in most situations, it is an effective pressure reset.

Stand Medium Kick: This is excellent at checking dashing and unwanted movement from the opponent as it is also special cancellable and always combos into Shoot Kick from every range.

Stand Heavy Kick: This is your best heavy normal to use on block if you want to stay safe after a chain while still having the chance to confirm into super. This can also be made more plus after a knockdown as a meaty giving you a free Crouch Light Kick into Crouch Medium Kick into Shoot Kick.

Lightning Sword:
This is an amazing unique attack. It has upper body invincible frames and excellent pushback. This is great for catching opponents who hesitates on defense and it can make some reversal attempts whiff as well.


                                      Key Moves

Shoot Kick: The special you will be using the most, hit confirming into this is one of your top priorities. You only really want to use the HK version, as that is the version that gives a juggle. The other two versions just give a knockdown and it doesn't lead to much damage, meaning if you just wanted a better knockdown then the one from the juggle, you should  just use Sliding Arrow as it causes a hard one.  Every single part of the move is punishable/interruptable. You can play a game of chicken if you have meter, but you are better off using Tegatana than using any of her special moves on block.


Sliding Arrow: A great move for Blair's okizeme as this always causes a hard knockdown unless you hit a airborne opponent. If you just want a better knockdown or don’t feel like going into a juggle, this is the one to use. It has the ability to low profile projectiles and some attacks as well. 


Lightning Knee: This move is Blair's meterless reversal option and it also has a follow up for extra damage and knockback. Midscreen if you opt to not go for the follow up you can combo into Fairy Spear super and get even more damage and a further extension into Mirage Combo Kick if timed right.

                                 General Strategy

Blair is the queen of footsies, utilize her fast run speed, good ground pokes, and jumping buttons to eventually hit confirm into shoot kick so you can take them to the corner. Once you have them cornered, apply stagger pressure and tick throws to open up their defense. If you’re on defense, she has a reversal, but it is always punishable, so use with caution. You must have a good grasp and strong execution when it comes to hit confirming or Blair will feel weak. If you fight characters that can space her out in some way, look for your opportunities and make them count. Be aware your opponent's movement and adjust accordingly to get the most out of Blair's excellent normals.
