Double Face

Gougi Deck Double Face.gif
PlayStyle: Defensive and Aggressive

Play if: + You like having all the defensive options
+ You want good coverage of gougis
+ You like having different options every round

Avoid if: - You want more consistency in your gougi
                 - You want more offensive tools
                 - You don't want your wins/losses to dictate your tools

Suggested for: If you want to make any character a lot more defensive.

                                    Key Gougi

6 Chain: Activating this allows you to break the standard chain system in FEXL. Instead of going from Light, Medium, to Heavy you are able to go Light Punch, Light Kick, Medium Punch, Medium Kick, Heavy Punch, Heavy Kick. You can skip any of normals like you can with normal chains and you can throw in a unique attack anywhere in the 6 chain. Not every normal will connect how you might like it, so test with different normals and characters.

OR

Hades: The super armour gougi of the game. It grants you infinite armour on all attacks and you won't have any hit stun when your opponent attacks you. However you will be slowed down during anything you try to do but you won't be interrupted. The main downside is that you can still be knocked down by anything that launches as well. When you take damage during Hades all damage is unscaled. So all hits of a move will have it's full damage on each hit in comparison to each hit adding more scaling to the damage.

Guard Cancel: As the name says while guarding or more specifically during block stun (while you are blocking an attack). You are able to cancel into any special move that your character has at the cost of one bar or super for two bars of meter. It grants a chunk of invincibility to the move you choose even if that move didn't have any before. It does not start instantly so it can be baited or whiff depending on the move you choose.

Illusion: The best gougi to have to avoid a possible full damaging combo depending on the character and what combo your opponent goes for. You are fully invincible during the blue effect on your character. It's similar to a breakaway like in Mortal Kombat 11 but the difference is it's up to the opponent to activate it with the damage they do and some characters can call you out and get a setup on you when it activates so be careful.
